We propose time delay division DFT-S FDMA PON scheme. Each ONU can receive data by using AdCs of 1/2∼1/32 Nyquist Sample Rate such that DFT and IDFT are unnecessary for de-mapping and picking out signals.
We propose and demonstrate a new photonic subharmonic generation mechanism through an injection locking process in an actively mode-locked fiber ring laser, whose gain bandwidth is narrower than the frequency of the injection signal. Through the recursion equation, the operation principle and subharmonic injection locking condition are theoretically analyzed. In the experiment demonstration, a 10-GHz...
From the point of signal processing in frequency domain, a scheme for the return-to-zero (RZ) to nonreturn-to-zero (NRZ) data format converter based on a tunable microwave photonic filter is experimentally demonstrated. A two-tap, intensity modulated and dispersion involved system is introduced to realize the conversion function. The experimental results shows good performance, tunability and reconfigurability.
A simultaneous optical signal extracting and erasing scheme is presented by utilizing four-wave mixing in optical fiber. Two synchronized gate and negation gate pulses, coupled with data stream, produce FWM effect to implement extracting and erasing functions. Experimental results are successfully demonstrated with NRZ data at 10 Gb/s.
