We propose and demonstrate a novel signal remodulation scheme using PolSK with high extinction-ratio. Error-free was achieved in a 20 km reach 10 Gb/s DWDM-PON without dispersion compensation.
3-bit/symbol optical modulation scheme is proposed using dark-return-to-zero (DRZ), differential-phase-shift-keying (DPSK) and polarization-shift-keying (PolSK). Transmission performance of the 3 times10 Gb/s signal is investigated.
We demonstrate polarization-insensitive data-format and wavelength-conversion using dual-wavelength injection-locking of Fabry-Perot lasers. Negative power penalty of -3.8dB and -5.2dB and polarization-dependence of 0.47dB and 0.40dB for converted NRZ and RZ signals were achieved respectively.
