In this article we present the results of simulation of the initial discharge ignition in electronic equipment of spacecrafts which may appear inside spacecraft electronic equipment on the example of the external lacquer dielectric coating slot-hole defect between conductors. We solved the plasma physics task by COMSOL Multiphysics with a parametric sweep for each potentially vulnerable area in order...
The problem of secondary arcing is actual if spacecraft power equipment operates at voltages of 70 V and higher that exceeds essentially the vacuum arc voltage drop. Such voltages are insufficient to ignite discharge unless the situation when protecting dielectric coating above populated circuit boards contains defects opening triple junction. To find defects and to recognize their parameters, we...
Magnetic field tuning characteristics of a single-crystal barium hexaferrite dielectric resonator in the frequency range 75-110 GHz are reported. The dielectric resonances occur at a much higher frequency than the ferromagnetic resonance. It is shown that the degeneracy in the dielectric mode is lifted with an applied magnetic field H and that the modes can be tuned by 10 GHz or more with H. The dielectric...
The method of phase parameter is used for analytical description of parametric resonance in linear and nonlinear systems. By analogy, the results are applied to wave propagation in dielectric media with periodically varying parameters, such as multilayer mirror or Bragg waveguide. The problem of analytical treatment of chromatic dispersion is discussed.
