We investigate theoretically the pump-probe spectroscopy of coherently-driven four-level Λ system with two closely spaced excited common levels, thereby forming a double Λ system. Using the master equation approach, analytical results are obtained for the absorption spectrum of a weak probe in the presence of a strong pump. The model is applied to the double Λ system 52S1/2 ...
We shall discuss about the scientific motivation and construction of a 7×7 BaF2 crystal array at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Calcutta. This detector would be used to measure high energy γ-ray photons from GDR decay and proton-neutron bremsstrahlung reactions at the present 88″ cyclotron and upcoming superconducting cyclotron at VECC, Calcutta. This detector can also be used to measure photons...
In this paper, we report our measurements of back-angle oxygen and carbon particle yields from 16O+89Y, 12C+93Nb reactions forming the same compound nucleus 105Ag at the same excitation energy and spin distribution. We find anomalously large oxygen yield and entrance channel dependence at high excitation energies from 16O+89Y reaction implying formation of a dinuclear orbiting complex. Possible connection...
