We used velocity-map imaging to measure ultrafast electron dynamics in N₂ initiated by attosecond pulses. A time-to-space mapping of autoionization channel is demonstrated. A sub-cycle oscillatory dynamics related to quantum interference is also observed.

Ultrafast relaxation dynamics in nitrogen can be temporally resolved by combining an isolated attosecond pulse and an intense synchronized carrier-envelope-phase stable infrared pulse.
