A simple passive scheme for increasing operation pulse-number to obtain high-quality input current waveform of three-phase diode rectifier is investigated in this paper. The topology and operation principle are described. Then, the performance is evaluated by means of a 20 kW setup. By referring to the evaluations result, the advantages in practical use of the rectifier are shown.
