Electronic Support Measures consist of passive receivers which can identify emitters which, in turn, can be related to platforms that belong to 3 classes: Friend, Neutral, or Hostile. Decision makers prefer results presented in STANAG 1241 allegiance form, which adds 2 new classes: Assumed Friend, and Suspect. Dezert-Smarandache (DSm) theory is particularly suited to this problem, since it allows...
Electronic support measures consist of passive receivers which can identify emitters coming from a small bearing angle, which, in turn, can be related to platforms that belong to 3 classes: either friend, neutral, or hostile. Decision makers prefer results presented in STANAG 1241 allegiance form, which adds 2 new classes: assumed friend, and suspect. Dezert-Smarandache (DSm) theory is particularly...
In the context of electronic support measures, the use of the Dempster-Shafer theory is not flexible enough to obtain a clear evaluation of the state of allegiance for a detected target. With the new theory of plausible, paradoxical, and neutrosophic reasoning, the Dezert-Smarandache theory, we are able to get a clearer assessment. The current paper presents our research for these cases.
