Specific absorption rate (SAR) is an important measure for evaluating cell phones and other electronic devices. The IEEE Standard 1528 does not give a detailed description of simulation parameters to be used in the FDTD method. In this paper, we attempt to fill this gap by providing a detailed description of the FDTD evaluation of the SAR by using the configuration given in IEEE Standard 1528.
