Die Umwandlung von Cyclopentenen (1/1′) in Cyclohexadiene (2/3) umfasst eine Ringerweiterung und eine [1,2]‐Alkinylverschiebung; als erster Schritt wird der Bruch einer verbückenden C‐C‐Bindung vermutet. Das vorgeschlagene kationische Allylgold‐Intermediat wird durch Alkohole unter Bildung von Bicyclo[3.2.1]octadienen und Tricyclo[3.2.1.02,7]octanen abgefangen.
2‐Azetine als Reagentien: Die Eintopfreaktion eines methoxystabilisierten Carbens mit einem Acetylid und einem Imin liefert stabile, Metallcarben‐haltige 2‐Azetine. Die anschließende milde Behandlung mit einem Alkin eröffnet einen regioselektiven Zugang durch Dreikomponentencyclisierung zu vollständig substituierten kondensierten 1,3‐Oxazinen.
