A polarization-reconfigurable slot antenna, for WLAN applications, is presented in this paper. The antenna incorporates a reconfigurable Wilkinson power divider-based feed network, which couples electromagnetic energy to a decagonal slot in the ground plane. The approach, presented herein, is based on electronically reconfiguring the phase difference, between the antenna's feeding ports, to achieve...
In this paper, we propose a low-cost small-sized microstrip antenna based on a trapezoidal connection between a double-Sierpinski-carpet-shaped (2nd iteration) patch and an I-shaped feed line. The ground plane is partial and is flushed with the feed line. The fundamental characteristics of the proposed design over the UWB frequency band are illustrated herein.
This paper presents a low-cost ultra-wideband microstrip antenna for wireless communications. Printed on a 4cm × 5cm × 1.6mm FR4-epoxy substrate, the antenna features a microstrip feed line with two 45-degree bends and a tapered section for size reduction and matching, respectively. The ground plane is partial and comprises a rectangular part and a semi-circular part, where two identical rectangular...
