In this paper, the fast model of third-order intermodulation (IM3) products in traveling wave tubes, which has been put forward in [1], has been discussed. The reason for the increasing difference from this fast model to multi-frequency beam-wave interaction (MBWI) model can been explained by average of space charge force process MBWI model.
In this paper the backward interaction model has been extended to three dimensions to study the BWO phenomena. And the iteration method is introduced to simulate the saturated oscillation power. The noise power in the tube has been implemented for power iteration but seems effect less to the saturated oscillation power.
