This paper presents a new type of cross coupled low loss and high selectivity bandpass filter operating at millimeter wave band. The filter is designed based on groove gap waveguide technology. A Ka-band 4th-order bandpass filter is proposed, designed and fabricated. Cross coupling between a one pair of non-adjacent resonators has been introduced to produce two transmission zeros at the frequencies...
We propose a directional coupler at microwave frequencies based on spoof metal-insulator-metal (MIM) plasmonic structures. The spoof MIM structures consists of specially-designed metal gratings with finite thickness. The coupling length increases almost linearly with the wavelength. The full-wave simulations have been implemented in the microwave frequencies to verify the coupler.
Conductive TiN and TiC interlayers were utilized to promote epitaxial growth of (001)-textured FePt in place of the traditional non-conductive MgO interlayer. The film structure was given as Glass/CrRu/(TiC or TiN)/FePt-C. The films were fabricated under constant deposition temperature of 350°C for all three layers. Both TiN and TiC were capable of inducing (001)-textured FePt with square magnetic...
We reported the TiO doping effects on the microstructure and magnetic properties of FePt-C nanocomposite films (dual doping of C and TiO ). X-ray diffraction measurements revealed that the (001) orientation was well kept and there was no observable deterioration in chemical ordering degree, indicating a negligible change in anisotropy energy with increased TiO doping. The coercivity of...
