We demonstrate Watt-level flat visible supercontinuum (SC) generation in photonic crystal fibers, which is directly pumped by broadband noise-like pulses from an Yb-doped all-fiber oscillator. The novel SC generator is featured with elegant all-fiber-integrated architecture, high spectral flatness and high efficiency. Wide optical spectrum spanning from 500 nm to 2300 nm with 1.02 W optical power...
Rotational-translational actuator (RTAC) systems can capture the major working principle of dual-spin spacecrafts and can be used to study the despin maneuver. In this paper, we consider the problem of globally stabilizing RTAC systems, which work in the vertical plane and are affected by nonvanishing matched disturbances by employing continuous control inputs. To this end, a nonlinear continuous...
In this paper, we present a novel nonlinear control approach for underactuated crane systems with double-pendulum dynamics, which can achieve both rapid swing suppression and efficient cart positioning control. The controller has a simple structure which is easy for implementation, and it can increase the transient performance by introducing some coupling terms. Moreover, it shows satisfactory robustness...
In this paper, we will discuss the oscillation of solutions of higher-order nonlinear delay dynamic equations on time scales, which have the following form $$S_n^\Delta(t, x)+p(t)f(x(\tau(t)))=0.$$ We will establish some oscillation criteria for these dynamic equations. Our results improve some previously obtained ones.
