Image hashing is one of the emergent novel approaches used extensively in the field of image forensics apart from finding its place in many of the latest techniques of the area of image indexing, image retrieval etc. Image hashing is basically used to identify the duplicate copies of the original images. Most of the image hashing algorithms has their limitations in getting the desirable performance...
This paper proposes a feature-based technique to detect pedestrians and recognize vehicles within thermal images that have been captured during nighttime. The proposed technique applies the support vector machine (SVM) classifier on CENsus Transformed histogRam Oriented Gradient (CENTROG) features in order to classify and detect humans and/or vehicles. Although thermal images suffer from low image...
This paper proposes a two-step impulse noise suppression filter, in which detection is followed by filtering. Adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is used in detection step and 3×3 median filter is used in filtering step. ANFIS employed is a good replacement of human expert. Our proposed method is time efficient and removes impulse noise while maintaining fine details of image.
Watermarking any digital content usually leads to irreversible changes in the host. This can be unacceptable in certain application areas and due to a number of reasons such as legal issues. To satisfy these requirements, the paradigm of reversible watermarking was developed. This paper proposes a reversible watermarking technique based on the difference expansion technique. The watermark so embedded...
