In this study, a sampling campaign was conducted for 29 buildings on the National Taiwan University (NTU) campus where lead pipes were present in 4 buildings. Total lead, soluble lead, and water quality parameters including pH, temperature, residual free chlorine, and total organic carbon were measured. Results from the first-round sequential sampling (10 × 100 mL) showed that the presence of lead...
The rapid development of network and devices motivates researchers to consider ways of delivering important data securely. In recent decades, secret sharing has attracted more attention, because it encodes the secret data into n shares which will be distributed to n participants, and only qualified participants are available to reconstruct the secret data. In 2012, Kim et al. proposed a novel (2,...
The routing quality on RDLs in 3D ICs is affected by the micro-bump location seriously. In this paper, we propose a micro-bump assignment method using order relation to minimize the crossing problem and reduce the detours in RDLs. Experimental results show that our approach can obtain an assignment result with 100% routability and minimal wirelength in global routing.
The major purpose of the mechanical stress screening is to screen out the products which have potential defects which lie in materials, design, process, and operation etc. If the screening is thorough before the products are shipped, the rate of the abnormal failure at the users' side can be eliminated or lowered significantly. The manufacturing lot which goes through appropriate screening will have...
Electrocardiogram is previously verified as a new biometric for human identification. However, it is uncertain if changes of cardiovascular conditions may cause any difference. The research investigates if cardiovascular conditions may impact ECG biometrics. A longitudinal and cross-section investigation is applied on peritoneal dialysis patients. Our results show that ECG is still able to identify...
Determination of body position is a very important issue in biomedical and healthcare areas. The aim of this research is to propose a body position detection method by fusing multiple heterogeneous features from three-lead surface ECG. Our results indicate that the heart axis is more accurate than HRV and PR intervals for posture detection. In addition, for standing and lying classification only,...
