Despite its popularity, “Do-IT-Yourself” (DIY) is a potentially hazardous activity. We present two unusual cases of penetrating neck and chest trauma where lifethreatening arterial injuries were sustained through DIY. Both patients fell from a stepladder at home during DIY.
