Acoustic source localization in sensor network is a challenging task because of severe constraints on cost, energy, and effective range of sensor devices. To overcome limitations in existing solutions, this paper formally describes, designs, implements, and evaluates a Hamming Distance-based Method for Acoustic Source Localization, i.e., HammingLoc, in distributed smartphone networks. The key idea...
In this paper factors affecting accuracy of time synchronization in EPON are analysed and the scheme of time synchronization in EPON based on IEEE1588v2 protocol is designed and implemented by FPGA. Experimental result shows that the scheme is feasible and good time synchronization accuracy about 20 nanoseconds can be reached.
There has been growing interest in transmitting synchronization information over OTN. A novel scheme is proposed in the paper for this purpose. In order to support precise time synchronization information transfer over OTN, the proposed scheme designs the new overhead, equipment function architectures and interworking mechanism of synchronization message for OTN.
In optical coherent receivers, the timing error detector in synchronization loop can't detect timing errors properly from signals distorted by large dispersion and the signal processing rate in the loop is very difficult to reach required 56GHz in the 112 Gb/s PM-(D)QPSK system because of the limit of current electronic circuits. This paper proposes a novel parallel processing VCO clock synchronization...
We propose a new scheme that adds a butterfly-structured adaptive equalizer in all-digital timing recovery loop to complete synchronization, equalization and polarization de-multiplexing simultaneously. It resolves the incompatible problems that adaptive equalization requires synchronous signal, timing-error detector requires compensated signal. Finally, we demonstrate the feasibility of the scheme...
