This year selected items from Pomeranian silver hoards have been included in the interdisciplinary research conducted as part of the study on Slavic-Scandinavian relations in the Early Middle Ages from the perspective of coin, raw material and silver jewellery deposits.
Interdisciplinary research into Scandinavian presence in the Slavic domain at the southern shore of the Baltic in the early Middle Ages has provided new data conducive to reconstruction of the natural and cultural landscapes.
During the second season of excavations at Świelubie, Dygowo commune, exploration of stratification in trenches from 2015 was finished. Several small trial trenches were started. Discovered objects indicate that the settlement can be dated to the end of the 8th – beginning of the 9th century.
