In the paper a new nonlinear compact thermal model of power MOS transistors based on the Cauer network is proposed. The analytical description of the model and the method of the model parameter estimation are presented. The accuracy and usefulness of the model is verified experimentally for the trench MOS transistor MTD20N06V at its various cooling conditions.
In the paper a new method of the fast estimation of characteristics of a buck converter in the steady state with selfheating taken into account is proposed. The theoretical considerations are illustrated by simulation results of a buck converter.
This paper deals with the problem of the analysis of a buck converter at the steady-state with the use of the method of average models. The usefulness of this method is examined by comparing the buck converter characteristics at the steady-state obtained both with the transient analysis with physical models of semiconductor devices and the examined method as well. The accuracy of the method of the...
In the paper a computer-aided method of measuring of the transient thermal impedance of MESFETs is presented. The advantages of this method are illustrated by means of measurements of the gallium arsenide MESFET operating at the different cooling conditions.
In this paper the characteristics of the boost converter operating at the steady state obtained by SPICE transient analysis and with the help of the method of the average models are compared and discussed. From the presented results of calculations, the boost operating conditions, for which the average models are sufficient and for which the transient analysis have to be performed, was defined.
In the paper a new method of an electrothermal analysis of dc-dc converters operating in the steady-state is proposed. This method is based on the proposed by the authors electrothermal Ben-Yaakov model. This model was verified by comparison of SPICE simulated characteristics of the BUCK converter obtained by the proposed method and the electrothermal transient analysis.
