Dotychczasowe regulacje prawne jakości wody przeznaczonej do spożycia [1] ustanawiały wymagania w znacznej mierze zbieżne z określonymi w przepisach europejskich [2], pomijając jednak niektóre problemy istotne z punktu widzenia ochrony zdrowia ludzi.
