Mode shape decoupling using wavelet transform has been applied to modal damping factor estimation. The connected method of Recursive Last Square and Wavelet Transform has been presented. The algorithm is verified on the simulation result for the two degree of freedom system with variable damping and real data. Digital Signal Processor has been used to the on - line modal parameter identification.
In this paper an application of time - frequency analysis technique for damping identification is presented. The continuous wavelet transform employed to decompose of the impulse response of structures into time - scale domain. Presented method is verified on simulation results for two degrees of freedom system with constant and variable damping.
