46 species of coprophagous beetles were recorded during ecological-faunistic studies in the vicinity of Szamotuły (Wielkopolsko-Kujawska Lowland). It is about 54% of coprophagous Scarabaeoidea species occurring in Poland and over 70% of species recorded in this lowland. Remarks on more interesting species are included.
During the studies on coprophagous beetles (Coleoptera, Scarabaeoidea) of the Szamotuły area, detailed observations on the structure of the beetle communities were carried out in 1992-1993 in theree different kinds of pastures (field, river-bank and forests).
