The Euclid distance based K-means clustering is among the hard classification algorithms. When dealing with deterministic remote sensing data, it is difficult to gain satisfactory classification results using K-means algorithm. The traditional K-means clustering algorithm is faced with several shortcomings such as locally converged optimization, being sensitive to initial clustering centers, etc....
Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is one of the newly developed intelligence optimization algorithms. With its simple concept, few parameters and scalable performance, PSO has become a very promising optimization tool and attracted extensive attention. In this paper, probabilistic analysis on swarm diversity in Adaptive Partly Informed Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (API-PSO) was conducted...
Usually, the coupling matrix of cross-coupled resonator filter is synthesized by gradient-based optimization. However, to obtain the gradient of a function is somewhat uneasy. In this paper, the concept of the standard particle swarm optimization is introduced. Finally, it is successfully applied in the synthesis of a fourth-order canonical cross-coupled resonator filter.
