Father Józef Baka (1707-1780), a third-rate Polish poet of the Baroque period, was frequentiy a target for mockery during the Age of Enlightenment and in later centuries. Critics derided the queer form of his poems and contested their literary value. His poems were often parodied. One of the parodists was Aleksander Wehyra Darowski (1815-1874) who parodied Father Baka in his 'Diariusz podrózy do Warszawy'...
