The chapter describes the activities of Protestant Church factions in the territories of Western Volhynia in the years 1920–1930 through the prism of their relations with local Polish administration. During the interwar period, Volhynia was one of the eastern regions of the country where the number of Protestant congregations was rapidly growing. The paper discusses the content and nature of the policy exercised by the voivodeship administration towards the Protestant Church and presents the details of its implementation in the country. The author concludes that through their confessional policy the authorities of the Second Polish Republic aimed at reducing the growth rate of Protestants in the eastern part of the country since it was supposed to weaken the Polish assimilative influence on the local community.
