The article is dealing with the phenomenon of pilgrimage based on comparative approach. In spite of differences between pilgrimage customs in Slovakia and Poland, caused e.g. by dissimilar history of both countries, we can also find the parallels, resulting from the uniform teaching of the Church, but also from the similar mechanisms of pilgrimage processes - irrespective of the cultures and nations.
