Salix starkeana Willd. is a rare species of Polish flora. A new stand of this species consisting of approximately 300 specimens, has been found adjacent to the Wieprzec Reserve, in Central Roztocze. These plants occur on overgrown meadow belonging to the class Molinio-Arrhenatheretea, and on the periphery of an alder woodland.
