Resumen. Este artículo estudia la evolución de los resultados regionales en la creación de empleo para personas con discapacidad, de acuerdo con la Ley 68/1999 y el proceso de convergencia entre las regiones italianas, mediante análisis de frontera estocástica y la matriz local de probabilidad de transición de Moran. Los resultados muestran que las regiones del centro y norte de Italia son más eficientes que las regiones del sur de Italia en el proceso de emparejamiento entre la oferta y la demanda de empleo para las personas con discapacidad. Además, entre las regiones italianas se observa la ausencia de movilidad dentro de la distribución y la persistencia de un dualismo regional (polarización), en términos de personas con discapacidad empleadas.
