In this paper, new mineral oxide vanadium (H6V4O10) with a layered structure was synthesized hydrothermally for the first time. The as-synthesized samples have been characterized by several physicochemical techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermal analysis (TG-DTA), and UV–visible spectroscopy. The electrochemical property study of the H6V4O10 shows that the monoclinic häggite with nanoflower morphology has a good stability and reversibility. It is found that the capacitive charge storage accounts represent a relatively large proportion of the total capacity. This result suggests that this material is most suitable for application in the field of electrochemical capacitors.
