/Scope of Chapter
This chapter gathers together many of the major themes of this textbook to identify shared and unique features of myeloid, T-cell, and B-cell malignancies. Therapeutic strategies that link basic immune function and cell signaling with oncogenesis are beginning to emerge and are discussed here. Considered are strategies to manipulate the microenvironment, alter tumor localization, target tumor-specific metabolic responses, and eliminate residual disease before tumor progression can occur.
