Journal of Applied Spectroscopy reports on key applications of spectroscopy in, physics, chemistry , material science, medicine, biology, ecology and spectral instrument-industry . An increasing number of papers presented here focus on the theory of lasers, as well as on the tremendous potential for the practical applications of lasers in numerous fields and industries. The Journal publishes new results of investigations in applied spectroscopy and other related fields on the following topics: atomic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, luminescence, laser spectroscopy, nonlinear spectroscopy, spectroscopy of scattering media, spectroscopy of solids, spectroscopy of nanostructures, spectroscopy of gases and plasmas, spectroscopy in biology and medicine, spectroscopy in environment studies, devices and methods of spectroscopy, optical materials. Journal of Applied Spectroscopy is a translation of the peer-reviewed Russian language journal Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii. Irbesartan is a class II crystalline drug according to the Biopharmaceutical Classification System, the solubility of which in water is less than 0.1 mg/mL, and thus it possess a challenge for developing methods of its analysis. Hydrotrophy is one such phenomenon in which water-soluble agents enhance the solubility of hydrophobic compounds, precluding the use of toxic organic solvents. Among various...

Spectral and luminescence characteristics of GdF3:Pr:Yb and YF3:Pr:Yb solid solutions synthesized by crystallization from the melt were investigated. Down-conversion luminescence of Yb3+ in the region of 2F5/2 → 2F7/2 transitions with 445-nm excitation was studied. The energy-transfer coefficient from Pr3+ to Yb3+ was <80% for concentration ratios Pr/Yb 0.5/10.0 and 1.0/10.0 for GdF3 and 0.5/10...

Methods for detecting and recovering drift of parameters in random samples were investigated and applied to model problems and real experimental data with drift. The drift of the experimental data was recovered. The time dependence of the probability of detector failure with and without drift was obtained.
