This paper studies the discrete Hermite transform applicability in concise representation of short-term and windowed sinusoidal signals. Namely, the Hermite functions show similar behavior with windowed multi-tone signals and filtered tones, which opens the possibility for signal sparsifation using an optimal transform scaling factor. In other words, the scaling factor is optimized in order to enhance...
This paper presents the implementation of an Eclipse plug-in for preserving and reloading debug session, in the domain of DSP application development. The plug-in has the ability to save the state of the currently active debug session and the ability to restore it if requested. This is done by saving the state of the integrated development environment, as well as the state of the target platform on...
Rapid expansion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications has resulted in development of many new algorithms that are applied in solving various challenging problems. These algorithms need to be implemented on existing ADAS platforms which are usually heterogeneous in order to maximize computing power, while minimizing power consumption. The problem becomes how to efficiently decouple...
Astract — This paper describes one solution for an implementation of the surround speaker virtualization module for digital signal processor in sound bar systems. The main problem in sound bar systems is complex audio processing execution in real-time. When the virtualization algorithm is executed on the embedded platform in real-time, it produces surround sound from the sound bar placed in front...
This paper is devoted to development of nonlinear filter of Markov processes for JPEG images at the stage of preprocessing, allowing to increase the filtration quality when off-line and on-line image recovering. The analysis of wide interference class affecting the image is held. The proper processing algorithm is developed for each kind of noise. Evaluating the synthesized algorithm effectiveness...
We propose a novel phase detector (PD) suitable for clock extraction in ultra-fast four-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM-4) optical systems that do not utilize digital signal processing (DSP) for clock and data recovery (CDR). The new PD operates with a single sample per symbol and uses simple logical circuits for clock extraction. Excellent performance and low complexity promote the proposed...
An implementation of sub-band OFDM-symbol generation is considered in this paper. A multicore DSP TMS320C6678 is used as a hardware platform. OpenMP technique is applied to create 8-core software. A theoretical estimate of computational complexity of the offered algorithm and processing time for the case of practical implementation with single- and multi-core are presented and discussed.
