A low cost, single phase induction generator suitable for use in stand-alone electric power systems is presented. A novel technique is described to actively control the generator voltage by varying the numberof shunt capacitors connected to the generator. Forced commutation of the switching SCR's is not required. Models are derived to analyze the small signal performance of an induction generator...
This paper describes one approach to model spacecraft power systems. Modelling of solar array, batteries and power conditioning units is achieved for the simulation and analysis of in-flight performances of satellite power systems. The programme EBLOS operates from a minicomputer and at present deals with heliosynchronous orbits. However, for a maximum of flexibility, its design has been based on...
Small-signal models are developed for two circuit versions of the basic push-pull current-fed converter operating in the continuous-mmf modes. The model for each circuit version leads to different small-signal characteristics when the control led-switch duty cycle is above 50% and when it is less than 50%. The models are verified by comparisons with experimentally obtained results.
