This article presents an HVAC simulator designed for validation of advanced methods for diagnostics and predictive maintenance of building automation systems. A formal framework for the diagnostics and maintenance methods is briefly introduced. The design and implementation of the simulator are described in more detail and concluded with a typical example.
Mixed-signal testing is becoming an important issue that affects both the time-to-market and product cost of many SoCs. This paper presents an effective Built-in Self-Test (BIST) method of Charge-Pump Phase-Locked Loops (CP-PLL) which is a mixed-signal circuit widely used in most of SoCs. This BIST will use the existing circuits units as test device in the test mode. It can be easily implemented with...
The final goal of this work is to create an intelligent support system which assists neuroradiologists to identify Cerebral Vascular Accidents in less time, more precisely. For this purpose, the first step was the creation of a web based tool for registering pathological areas in CT images, which will allow to collect required data for training and testing our proposed classifier, a Radial Basis Function...
Selecting suitable data for neural network training, out of a larger set, is an important task. For approximation problems, as the role of the model is a nonlinear interpolator, the training data should cover the whole range where the model must be used, i.e., the samples belonging to the convex hull of the data should belong to the training set. Convex hull is also widely applied in reducing training...
The Artificial Neural Network research community has been actively working since the beginning of the 80s. Since then many existing algorithm were adapted, many new algorithms were created and many times the set of algorithms was revisited and reinvented. As a result an enormous set of algorithms exists and, even for the experienced user it is not easy to choose the best algorithm for a given task...
Mobile devices are spreading over the world in fast unstoppable ubiquitous coexistence with mankind. The usability of mobile device are limitless and therefore we proposing concept of future intelligent home environment where mobile device are able to control, monitor or maintain user's house place. We suppose after engineering and business automation there is next the personal automation where available...
In this paper a special ring topology is investigated for sensor networks, where the whole network is decomposed into subnetworks forming rings, and these subnetworks are connected to each other through a main ring. Each of these subnetworks may have different requirements concerning message delivery times. In this paper algorithms are proposed, which generate such networks from the connectivity graph,...
