While software detecting plagiarism in text or computer code is commonly used these days, no counterpart exists for integrated-circuit (IC) layouts. This paper proposes several criteria of IC-layout dissimilarity that can be used for computer-aided layouts matching. A program based on these criteria is shown to successfully identify similar layouts in a pool of designs.
In the present paper, behavioral computer SPICE models of photovoltaic modules are developed. The model parameters are automatically calculated using datasheet data. The temperature dependence of the model parameters is taken into account. The models are built in the form of parameterized blocks. The input data are the short circuit current Isc, the open circuit voltage Voc and two remarkable points...
FATE is a project funded by the European Union under the program CIP/ICT-PSP with the main objective of organizing a big pilot on the automatic falls detection in aging people living at home. Automatic detection of falls is done in indoors and outdoors conditions, and in both cases the detection generates an alarm sent to a call center. The detection system is designed around a sensor sub-system based...
In our investigation we focus on the A* Algorithm, for solving path-finding problems, because it is fairly flexible and can be used in a wide range of contexts. The main problem of A* Algorithm is the finite computer memory. Using this method, the robot can decide how to move from end to end point in an efficient manner without colliding with previously mapped obstacles. When in need of finding a...
