The successful design of collaborative filtering system for recommending depends hardly on finding the nearest neighbors. In this paper, we provide a new collaborative filtering method based on concept lattices to generate more precise recommendation. Firstly, we analyze the log files and construct a formal context which is then used to build a concept lattice. Based on the concept lattice, we propose...
The paper studies the axiomatization of rough sets with a new approach, that is, the matroidal approach. First, Pawlak matroids are introduced. Properties of Pawlak matroids are studied. Then three sets of axioms of the Pawlak upper approximation operator are proposed from a matroidal point of view. Additionally, a possible generalization of Pawlak rough sets based on coverings is pointed out.
Assessing concept similarity is an importance activity in ontology engineering. In this paper, a new similarity measure model is proposed, in which the information content of meet-irreducible elements is employed to evaluate the similarity degree of the two concepts of concept lattice. The proposed method combines featural and structural information into decision and preserves more structure information...
Data mining technology is a useful tool for knowledge discovery from large-scale databases. At present, most data mining researchers pay much attention to technique problems for developing data mining models and methods, while little to basic issues of data mining. In this paper, we address this question and propose a domain-oriented data-driven knowledge acquisition model. A data-driven data mining...
