A tunable single-passband microwave photonic filter with ultra-high out-of-band rejection ratio is proposed. In experiments, a rejection ratio up to 55 dB is obtained for tunable single-passband MPF using single stage for the first time. Tunable central frequency, bandwidth, and spectral profile are demonstrated.
We use the RF analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) to demonstrate a high resolution (22 MHz) integrated RF-photonic filter with an enhanced suppression (>30 dB) and an order-of-magnitude amplification in the group delay response. We implement the filter using low-power on-chip stimulated Brillouin scattering.
