We have developed a new pump source model for CW supercontinuum generation which shows closer agreement to experiment, and rests on a stronger physical basis, than previous models.
We present the first solitary mode-locked thin disk oscillator with cavity-dumping. The laser generates pulse energies of 3 muJ with pulse durations below 700 fs at 1 MHz repetition rate.
We report experimental and numerical results on the pulse dynamic of passively modelocked Yb-doped fiber laser operating in the chirped-pulse regime. A newly design cavity with a CFBG provides positive dispersion with negligible nonlinearity.
An ytterbium fiber oscillator is demonstrated comprising a hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber fusion spliced to single-mode fibers in the cavity generating pulses of 4.1 nJ energy and pulse width of 210 fs.
An ultrashort-pulses mode-locked ytterbium-doped fiber laser has been developed with 28.3 fs duration at 80 MHz. The dispersion was compensated by a grating pair inside the cavity and a prism pair outside the cavity.
Regimes of self-pulsing in fiber lasers have been characterized. Experiments show that the addition of a long section of passive fiber in the laser cavity can stabilize the laser and largely suppress the self-pulsations.
We propose and investigate a new beam combining setup using stimulated-Brillouin-scattering in a multimode gradient-index-fiber within a ring cavity. 50% efficiency and 99% slope are achieved with 2 ErYb doped fiber amplifiers without external control.
We report on long-cavity modelocked laser with Yb:CALGO crystal, with, first, a 27-MHz, sub 100-fs single-pulse regime and, second, a very atypical double-pulse dualwavelength femtosecond regime.
