This paper presents some recent results obtained on a new implementation of a Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) six-port junction related to a hardware type receiver designed for QPSK communications [1], [2]. This junction is the basis of a direct conversion wide band six-port millimeter wave receiver. This new hardware receiver is proposed as a robust, rugged, low cost receiver for use in wide band wireless mass market QPSK communications [3]-[5]. LMDS services are a prime example of communication equipment needing such receivers.
