Wireless power transfer via novel Strongly Coupled Electric Resonance (SCER) method is presented and studied in this paper. Instead of using loops as the magnetic resonators in Strongly Coupled Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), small dipoles are introduced to be considered as electric resonators between source and load. High wireless powering efficiency (more than 95%) and compact size (50% smaller than traditional SCMR) are achieved. Additionally, by changing the value of the lumped inductance, it is easier to shift the frequency and maintain high transmission efficiency.
