Since Edouard Boureau published Paleobotanique Africaine (1958b) with North Equatorial African fossil plant lists, many additional Mesozoic and Cenozoic woods have been discovered. It may be useful to give new complementary lists, established in the following order:(1) Systematic inventory.(2) Classification based on the wood's presumed age.(3) Classification based on the geographic origin of the wood. The last two classifications do not provide the author's name and date but indicate the family and the geographic origin or age of each wood. Further information is included in the first classification and the up-to-date bibliography.
