The nonlinear nonlocal equation describing the evolution of a fluctuating scalar field is studied. This nonlinear system naturally produces stable static configurations as a result of its relaxation to the dissipative attractors. It is found that the structures (and their spectra) observed in the frame of the model coincide with the eigenfunctions (and eigenvalues, respectively) of the linear quantum mechanical Schrodinger equation.
