In this paper we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel technique that uses optical asynchronous sampling and double sideband filtering. The purpose is to demonstrate a technique with proper acquisition time, that dismisses a fast photodetector using optical domain sampling techniques. It also does not need an high power regime to work, as those techniques employing nonlinear effects. The technique relates chromatic dispersion with the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), which makes this technique power independent, suitable for reconfigurable networks where packets travel through disctint paths, thus leading to different power levels.
