Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and optical measurements have been performed to reveal photoinduced concentration changes of paramagnetic and optical defects in X-ray irradiated cubic stabilized zirconia (CSZ) single crystals. New results are reported showing that the photoinduced annihilation of radiation induced electron centers is not directly related to the decrease of paramagnetic hole centers. The interpretation of the experimental data suggests a more complex kinetics than previously proposed.
