Energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry was applied to the elemental analysis of Ikizdere ore. The standard addition method used for analyses of Ikizdere ore is based on a model expressing the relationship between the concentration and characteristic intensity. The experimental set-up consists of a Si(Li) detector, multichannel analyser, 2 4 1 Am and 5 5 Fe radioactive source. Si(Li) detector has a 25μm Be-window and energy resolution of about 160eV at 5.9keV. The procedure of sample preparation and the results of analysis were presented.
