(fragment tekstu)
The Author has attempted to empirically verify the non-linear (parabolic) effect relationship of the minimum wage to average wage, ie. Influence of the Kaitz factor on the size of employment in Poland. The purpose of the analysis is to estimate the optimum Kaitz ratio. The obtained result confirmed the hypothesis of non-linear impact Kaitz factor on employment. Necessity to maintain some caution in determining the minimum wage is indicated, because the impact of minimum wage relative to average wage employment is bidirectional. The Kaitz factor growth affects negatively the level of employment only on a certain value. The results of the study allowed to show at what level of the minimum wage relative to average wage, the minimum wage has a positive effect and at what limits the size of employment.
