Objective: to develop general recommendations on the formation of organizational culture in higher education institutions of Ukraine on the specialty “Social security”. Methods of research: theoretical generalization, systematization, classification-analytical. Results. The organizational culture of the students of the specialty “Social security” is characterized by the following features: rapid change in the composition of the staff, student age of the target audience, contradictory relationships between teachers and students, further work with the socially unprotected layers of the population. Proceeding from these features we offer the following basic values of organizational culture: knowledge, cooperation of teachers and students, social activity of students, transfer of experience of the best students to junior courses, empathy, and stress resistance. For translation of these pivotal values we should recommend the following: friendly interrelation between teachers and students, diversification of student activity, culture flexibility, development of educational unity brand, new students adaptation, common events for students of different years, formation of desirable model of behavior, development of internal communication system, providing interactive forms of learning, including role plays, trainings, group discussion etc. It is significant to provide regular evaluation of organizational culture at the university. Evaluation technique is elaborated in the article, taking into consideration specifics of educational unity. In particular it includes selection of parameters for assessing the effectiveness of the strategy of the organizational culture, selection of sources of information, methods, evaluation tools, formulation of requirements for evaluation, evaluation of the implementation of the organizational culture management strategy, analysis of the evaluation results, making decisions on taking appropriate measures. Conclusion. Management of the organizational culture of students of the specialty “Social security” can increase the students’ loyalty to the university, their motivation to study and educate them for the necessary quality work.
