The authors focus on the barriers met by disabled people eager to undertake university education. Psycho-educational, architectural, fimancial, organisational and information barriers are analysed in the paper. Based on results of research carried out in Silesia district, the authors raise the question why only 4% of 5,5 million disabled population are university graduates.
