The paper presents the retail banks offers in the context of relationship marketing requirements. Author used secondary sources from the sector and analyzed the literature of the subject matter to explain the basic categories. It has been found that many banks’ activity corresponds to a relational paradigm, especially in the services and offers for the affluent clients. For mass customers, activity is often focused on innovation and networking solutions (including e.g. hypermarkets). However, the evaluation can’t be always clear. Some advanced technological innovations serve primarily the interests of banks. Sometimes it doesn’t take into account the real needs of customers. This can be seen as a regression toward the product orientation or transactional marketing orientation.
