The paper describes the results of a conception-stage experiment with a ground-based bistatic noise SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) demonstrator. Its aim was to research the ability of a simple Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) build system to provide a bistatic SAR image using non-cooperative illuminator. The noise signal used in the experiment is similar to a signal used in many transmission systems...
In the paper the problem of decoding of digital television signal and its reconstruction for the purpose of using it in passive radar is presented. The main focus is the reconstruction of the signal using a general purpose receiver, not dedicated to digital television signal reception. The performance of the proposed method is verified on simulated and real-life signals.
The paper presents the concept of passive radar exploiting the active Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar as the source of illumination, and the primary results of the measurement campaign carried out at the DSP Laboratory of the Warsaw University of Technology. The system, built using commercial off the shelf components, was able to detect and track airliners landing at Warsaw airport. To verify the...
In this paper we present results of research on multichannel receiver using Software Defined Radio technology. This receiver is a part of the experimental FM based passive radar being designed. The hardware platform of the receiver consists of the Universal Software Defined Radio Peripheral devices. In the paper we propose modifications of the USRP's FPGA configuration and GNU Radio code. These modifications...
